Forschungs- und Beratungsstelle Arbeitswelt (FORBA)

The Working Life Rese­arch Centre (FORBA) is an inter­di­sci­pli­nary rese­arch insti­tute with a focus on natio­nal and inter­na­tio­nal rese­arch. The sci­en­ti­fic work is spe­cia­li­sed in cur­rent topics of labour rese­arch. Inte­gra­ting the disci­pli­nes of socio­logy, poli­ti­cal sci­ence, eco­no­mics and busi­ness infor­ma­tics, FORBA con­ducts basic and app­lied rese­arch. The trans­fer of sci­en­ti­fic know­ledge into social prac­tice is an inte­gral part of the institute’s activities.

BTB-ABVV is a Bel­gian trade union and repres­ents all employees in the mari­time sec­tor, the dock workers, the workers in the air hand­ling, in goods and pas­sen­ger trans­port and in logistics. BTB is affi­lia­ted with the Euro­pean Trans­port Trade Union (ETF) and the Inter­na­tio­nal Trans­port Trade Union (ITF-Inter­na­tio­nal Trans­port Workers’ Fede­ra­tion).

HIVA — Rese­arch Insti­tute for Work and Society is a mul­ti­di­sci­pli­nary rese­arch insti­tu­tion at KU Leuven. HIVA car­ries out sci­en­ti­fic policy-ori­en­ted rese­arch. HIVA’s rese­arch responds very spe­ci­fi­cally to all sorts of ques­ti­ons posed by policy-makers. HIVA pro­vi­des high-qua­lity rese­arch and enga­ges in the broad dis­se­mi­na­tion of this know­ledge and insights through publi­ca­ti­ons and the orga­ni­sa­tion of nume­rous trai­ning initia­ti­ves such as semi­nars, con­fe­ren­ces and work­shops.

The Mul­ti­cul­tu­ral Cen­ter Pra­gue (MKC) is a non-pro­fit orga­ni­sa­tion enga­ged in the pur­suit of edu­ca­tio­nal and rese­arch acti­vi­ties in the fields of inter­na­tio­nal migra­tion, social inclu­sion of Roma and edu­ca­tio­nal acti­vi­ties. MKC is also active in the net­works advo­ca­ting for social jus­tice and inclu­sion (Soli­dar, Elec­tro­nics Watch, DARE).

The Inde­pen­dent Trade Union of Slo­ve­nia is an inde­pen­dent, vol­un­tary, non-pro­fit orga­niz­a­tion of workers and other inte­res­ted per­sons, whose aim is to express and rea­lize their indi­vi­dual and shared inte­rests as mem­bers, and to imple­ment and pro­tect their eco­no­mic, mate­rial and social posi­tion and the rights of workers.

“vida” is the trade union for trans­port ser­vice workers wit­hin the umbrella orga­niz­a­tion of all Aus­trian trade uni­ons, the Aus­trian Trade Union Fede­ra­tion (ÖGB). It repres­ents the con­cerns of more than 135,000 workers in trans­port and ser­vices pro­fes­si­ons in the fol­lowing sec­tors: trans­port (civil avia­tion, road trans­port, rail­ways, inland water­ways), health (employees in pri­vate and order’s hos­pi­tals and medi­cal prac­ti­ces), pri­vate ser­vices (e.g. indus­trial clea­ning), and social ser­vices (e.g. nur­sing staff in care homes), tou­rism, gas­tro­nomy and catering.

NSZZ “Soli­dar­ność” is an inde­pen­dent and self-gover­ning Polish trade union. It’s main objec­ti­ves are: safe­guar­ding workers’ rights, pre­ven­ting unem­ploy­ment, pro­vi­ding for workers’ oppor­tu­nities to deve­lop their pro­fes­sio­nal com­pe­ten­cies, ent­e­ring into social dia­lo­gue to balance employ­ers’ and employees’ inte­rests, having impact on social and eco­no­mic policy, acting for the bene­fit of dis­ab­led people, streng­t­he­ning and pro­tec­tion of family life, coope­ra­tion with inter­na­tio­nal orga­ni­sa­tion aimed at pro­tec­tion of workers’ inte­rests, repre­sen­ting workers’ inte­rests internationally.
